Down Syndrome Center Hiba

Hiba Down Syndrome Center is considered one of the largest projects in the Eastern Province in particular, and Saudi Arabia in general; as it is considered the first comprehensive and specialized center in the education and rehabilitation of our children with Down syndrome, on an area of 15,000 m2, and a built-up area up to 6200 meters; in addition to facilities and green spaces on more than 8,800 m2 on a land granted by the Ministry of Education.

Al Muhaidib Social Foundation was keen on establishing this building using the highest international standards concerned with building model establishments for our children with Down syndrome. It has conducted the engineering designs for the building at the hands of the specialized experts and authorities, such as:UK- Riverston Group Ltd, People First Education Ltd and Global services in Education Ltd - USA

For more scrutiny and supervision for these designs, an agreement has been concluded with the Down Syndrome International Education Organization, and those who have audited the structural plans to be executed on the building as we see it today to accommodate 245 male and female students from birth; in order to be qualified for the labor market.

The Center’s construction project was launched in honor of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Emir of the Eastern Province, being the first of its kind in the region.
